This package is for arthroscopic knee ligament based surgery (ie. ACL, PCL) (including meniscus).

Eligible patients for package

Patients who are eligible for package promotion are patients with no severe underlying conditions in which the surgeon deems inappropriate for package pricing. Patients who have the following conditions who are at high risk for surgery are not eligible for package pricing:

• Acute organ failure
• Evaluation of ASA Classification III and above
• Acute myocardial infarction within the past 4 weeks
• HIV positive patients
• Patients with a previous history of knee surgery, unless the surgeon determines that the package

    Services include preoperative and postoperative advice, including postoperative care by physician team, nursing staff and relevant medical health professionals

 
Package Exclusions

• Preoperative medical evaluation and postoperative care for underlying conditions by internal medicine physician
• Room and hospital cost for over 2 nights stay, ICU stay, or any hospital stay after physician has allowed discharge will be charged according to normal hospital rates
• Treatment charges from inpatient consultation with internal medicine physician or any other specialties 
• Charges incurred from outpatient visit prior to admission
• Charges in case of emergency surgery or specific condition that requires additional special equipment or additional operating time that is set in the package
• Charges for personal items used in hospital room such as drinks, telephone calls, and room service for relaitves, which will be charged according to normal rates
• Charges for blood transfuction and diagnostic tests pre- and postoperatively such as blood tests, X-rays, EKG, and any other special equipment or tests needed
• Home medication and other home medical equipment
• Pre-operative exercise program physical therapy
